These are made of very hard steel, and any workshop maintenance is difficult. The pointed end of a crowbar, while not sharp, should have a sufficient point to break up rocks, hard ground and so on. The crow end requires a hard edge and sound jaws for effective levering. Grind as necessary using a bench grinder or angle grinder. Badly worn bars can be taken to a blacksmith for re-forging.
