What’s changing?2026-03-27T13:33:32+00:00

TCV’s Conservation Handbooks are now available free of charge to everyone. This means that when your current subscription reaches its renewal date, you won’t need to pay to continue accessing the Handbooks.

If you previously subscribed to just one title, you now have access to all ten Handbooks plus Quick Tips.

Why are you making the Handbooks free?2026-03-27T13:38:52+00:00

We want as many people as possible – volunteers, organisations, educators, and practitioners – to benefit from practical conservation guidance without barriers to access. This supports TCV’s mission to share best practice and empower community-led conservation.

What happens to my current subscription?2026-03-27T13:39:41+00:00

You can continue to access the Handbooks here and you will no longer need to make a payment or sign in. If you had a recurring subscription set up, these have all been cancelled so your payment will no longer automatically renew, and you can access the content free of charge.

And everyone will now have full access to all ten Handbooks + Quick Tips.

Do I still need my login?2026-03-27T13:41:31+00:00

No. The Handbooks are now open access, so you no longer need a login to read them. If you bookmarked your old account page, please update your bookmark to conservationhandbooks.com/handbooks

How can I support the Handbooks now they’re free?2026-03-27T13:42:43+00:00

If you find the Handbooks useful, you can make an optional donation to help support their upkeep and future development. Your support helps fund updates, accessibility improvements, and new guidance.

I’m an organisation with multiple users. Do we need to make any changes?2026-03-27T13:43:47+00:00

No. Access is now open, so organisational users can simply visit the Handbooks site directly.
