This chapter is concerned with the waymarking and signposting of paths. Waymarking usually refers to the marking of existing objects along a path to indicate the route, and signposting to the provision of separate signposts, particularly at path junctions. The technique and organisation of waymarking is discussed, and the construction and erection of simple signposts.
